Bowen - A different approach for physical & mental health

I am a Bowen therapist working in Andover, Hampshire and surrounding areas.  If you are wanting to feel better in yourself and about life, I aim to support you through physical therapy and supportive coaching.

Our mind and body work together for optimum health, so improvement in one can help improve the other.

The Bowen Technique

Relax into feeling better

The Bowen Technique is a hands-on therapy, which helps you to relax and let go of unwanted tension.  It offers you pain relief, improved mobility and an increased sense of calmness.  It is suitable for all ages; my youngest client was new-born, my oldest is 94.

While gentle and non-manipulative, Bowen Therapy is deceptively powerful. I help sportsmen and women improve their performance and reduce, prevent or recover from injury, particularly those competing at veteran level.  I also work with animals, particularly horses and dogs.

“A Bowen treatment with Fiona is the most relaxing treatment I have encountered.  She gets to the point of the issues without having to use much pressure and the results speak for themselves.  If you have not tried Bowen before, I would definitely recommend giving it a go.”

Supportive Coaching

Solution-focused sessions, including the touch of nature

Many people want their lives to be different in some way.  Most people struggle with making that happen.

We are often stuck in habitual patterns of thought and behaviour which prevent us seeing how to change.  What we need is to have a different perspective on the problem to find a way to move forward.

Our issues may seem big, yet the answer frequently lies in consistently making small adjustments which will develop into new ways of thinking and behaving. We often know, deep down, what we need to do, but fear holds us back.  Being able to move beyond that fear, in a supported way, opens us to a more enjoyable experience of life.

“I love the fact that I feel calm in your presence and that means you are my go-to person when I'm feeling totally overwhelmed. Thankyou!”

I run individual or small group sessions, for 2-4 people, which may help you in several ways, such as:

  • reconnecting you with the calm strength and wisdom within yourself.
  • helping you be clearer about what you want and how to make the changes needed.

Sessions often include aspects of nature, directly or indirectly; you can immerse yourself in this as little or as much as you wish.
